Well, Paramount's Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon is fast approaching...unfortunately, for millions of fans not named me, Megan Fox will not be returning to the franchise. While it is understandable that many will be disappointed, let's be sober: there is only one irreplaceable human actor in the film, for the most part. It is difficult to understand to a civilian such as myself, why a burgeoning starlet would allow emotion to get in the way of millions+. Don't they have people around them - so-called managers - that ease them away from the perils of early-onset primadona-ism? Perhaps they push their managers away, as well. You've got to expect that in this universe, comparing a director to Hitler has terminal consequences unless you're Naomi Watts, Don Cheadle, Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe or Helen Mirren. Basically, you'd better be able act your ass off and have the clout to match. Most studios would tell the director to suck it up for draws like these guys and gals. But for a mediocre actress, in a movie where the robots are the stars? Why?!? Megan Fox may very well have doomed herself to Jennifer-like vampire B-movies. Which is better than most of us can claim; but, still. She will be replaced by a English model
Rose Huntington Whiteley as the love-interest for Shia Labeouf's character, Sam Witwicky.
Btw, I believe the official reason given by Bay for Fox's exclusion from Dark of the Moon was issues with her weight: basically, Bay thinks she's too skinny. Always makes me wonder exactly who are the guys that like totem pole women.

Ultimately, Megan might be gone, but since
Shia and his manic acting chops are back to drive the human element, the film shouldn’t suffer much at all. Of course, one of the small things that made the original so dazzling is forever gone from us, with the brilliant comic relief of his five-minute spot – rest in peace, Bernie Mac.
