Below is a pretty sweet fan edit by Keith Carunida using 16bit's remix of "Machine Gun" by Noisia to create a fantastic music video using scenes from all three Transformers film. I have no clue who the artists are but the way the scene edits go just right with the music is how a montage should be done (speaking to the poor montage editors of award season). Worth the four minutes to watch and listen to. Thanks to Colin H. for the find.

Below is Linkin Park's next YouTube video called "Making of the Iridescent Music Video". Like the title says, it gives a behind the scenes look into making the music video for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Thanks to Feris Othman for the link.
Linkin Park has posted two new videos around their single Iridescent from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The first is a look at the researsals for the song while the second is the music video in 3D.

Knightshift has provided the answer on why the CD copy of Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Score is not yet available at retail even though it is up on iTunes. The composer himself, Steve Jablonsky, provided the answer. To sum up, Michael Bay didn't get a chance to approve the score until a week or so ago. With time to print, produce and distribute it wouldn't hit store shelves until about September, long after the movie left theatres. Instead Paramount is going to use the probable November release of the DVD/Blu-ray release of the movie to help sell the Score.
Nice to hear from you. As you probably know the score is now up on iTunes. The physical CD situation has been more complicated. I finished the album weeks ago, but we didn't actually finalize it until a few days ago. Michael Bay is really happy with the score and he wanted to check out the album before it went out. As you might imagine, he's a busy dude. He's been flying all over the world promoting TF3, making it difficult to get approval. But I was happy that he wanted to be a part of the soundtrack and I did not want to release anything before he had his say. The record company tells me they need 4-6 weeks to get the album produced and into stores, which would put us into August at this point. A lot of discussion went into this, but the decision was made to wait on the physical CD, and release some kind of special edition alongside the blu-ray release (maybe autographed copies or other goodies, we don't know yet).(via Seibertron)
I know people are probably disappointed. Believe me I wish I could get physical CD's out there tomorrow. But it's just the way things went this time around. I can see why Paramount would rather not release a score CD almost 2 months after the movie release. To them it makes more sense to do something special around the blu-ray/DVD. I understand that.
So anyone interested in a CD should rest assured that it WILL happen. It just won't happen until later in the year unfortunately.
These big movies are so complex sometimes!! I hope you've been well!
Steve
Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Score is now available on iTunes. It doesn't seem to be available yet at retail nor on Amazon. The album of 17 tracks costs $15.99 or $1.29 for each. Considering the high cost of the album I am wondering if iTunes was granted an exclusive sale period as normally a new soundtrack album would be in the $10 to $12 range. With the release is a look at the official cover for the album.
More from DOTM World Premiere With Linkin Park Performance
Posted by AXEL | 18:35 | TF3 Marketing, TF3 Music | 0 comments »Thursday was the World Premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon at the Moscow International Film Festival. As part of that, after the movie Linkin Park held a live performance that included Iridescent. MTV has posted an intro and video of the performance (below) that includes quick snippets from the cast talking about the band. If you just want to see and hear the performance, Linkin Park has posted the same video (also below) without the cast introductions. In case you missed it before, the last video is the YouTube embed of Paramount's behind the scenes video at the World Premiere. Last, click here for gallery of images from the group press conference. So far I have not seen it online so unable to post about it. ET's also posted a report from the concert (video here) which said MTV and VH1 will be airing the concert at 7PM EST. Thanks to Mackie for the link.

Dark of the Moon Iridescent Trailer Version II
Posted by AXEL | 21:07 | TF3 Music, TF3 TV Spots | 0 comments »Linkin Park has posted another video that features Iridescent on their YouTube page. From what I can tell it is nearly identical to their first one with a few new scenes (but most of which have already appeared in all the TV spots). All I saw as new was a shot looking down on the Decepticon ship.
Despite the volume of videos, I think if someone were to combine all them, I think the grand total of scenes shown might reach around 12 minutes. Considering the movie is 2 and half hours that isn't much. Normally there is a fan edit by now but probably the lack of HD quality video for most of the TV spots has prevented such efforts.
Also, the band's twitter account tweeted, "If you "Shazam" TV & radio ads for Transformers 3, you'll get a download of a live track, plus have access to more content from the film." Shazam is an iPhone/iPad app (not sure if available for Android). I tried the app on the song and didn't come up with anything special. (via TFW2005, thanks to Sahara for the link)
Film Music Reporter has posted the full track list to Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Score by Steve Jablonsky that is set for release on June 28th. The cover art however has not been confirmed. While to me the track names don't really provide any movie information, consider this a spoiler warning. (via TFW2005)01. Dark On The Rock
02. Sentinel Prime
03. Lost Signal
04. In Time You’ll See
05. Impress Me
06. What War Destroyed, We Can Rebuild
07. Battle
08. There Is No Plan
09. We All Work for the Deceptions
10. The Fight Will Be Your Own
11. Driller
12. No Prisoners, Only Trophies
13. Ospreys

New DOTM Footage in Linkin Park's Iridescent Trailer
Posted by AXEL | 17:57 | TF3 Music, TF3 TV Spots | 0 comments »Linkin Park has posted a short video to promote their new single Iridescent in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. With it is a ton of new footage not seen before or a few extra seconds to those scenes like the Bumblebee wall bounce to catch Sam and Lennox. If listen carefully can hear a hint of some of the great sound effects too. Its like getting a trailer and couple TV spots in one. Thanks to Chris for the link.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Game wasn't the only tie-in product released today. Also hitting shelves is The Album in its three versions the 11 track CD regular version, 14 track iTunes exclusive, and 13 track GameStop version. The Score is coming out in two weeks on June 28th.
I was able to preview the regular version but decided to not write a review simply due to the fact that I am not a fan of most of the bands on the album so my indifference to it is expected and useless to base a purchase decision on. If it helps Artist Direct has a review but it is so over the top fawning that I have a hard time taking it seriously.
The official site for Transformers: Dark of the Moon has added what is probably chords from selected tracks from DOTM The Score album that is set for June 28th release. According to TFW2005, they were able to determine the possible titles as Conspiracy, Lost Signal, Sentinel, Glorious, and Battle. It seems like Hasbro did with their character bios, an effort has been made to make sure the score titles didn't give any spoilers. Click here to listen.
A new behind the scenes video has been posted on NoiseCreep for the Iridescent music video. Unlike the previous one, this one isn't trying to hide anything so its a longer, more detailed look at the filming process.
Iridescent Music Video Returns, Full Monster Single
Posted by AXEL | 14:41 | TF3 Music | 0 comments »After a day delay due to "technical difficulties" but more likely an arrangment with USA Today, Linkin Park has reposted their music video Iridescent (below) from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Album. In addition, Paramore has posted the full audio single (below) of their song "Monster" from the album. Thanks to Dune and MV for the links.Read More »
Linkin Park's Iridescent Music Video for Dark of the Moon (Updated)
Posted by AXEL | 16:44 | TF3 Music | 0 comments »MTV has posted Linkin Park's music video for Iridescent, the first single from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Album. The use of the various DOTM imagery, in black & white with elements pulled out, is very unique in look especially when compared to most movie related music videos that just edit in scenes from the movie. On the downside it makes it difficult to enjoy it as just a peak into the movie which I am sure Bay doesn't mind considering how much effort he has put in to lock down exactly how much the film is scene before its release. Despite that, there are some nuggets to enjoy like a look at Shockwave (:22), Sentinel Prime (1:49), Megatron's new transformation (2:31), and sweet Dweller & Shockwave pose (2:49). For international readers, sadly it seems the video is region locked. Warner Bros. is doing take down notices for anyone posting on YouTube so that isn't a lock either.Read More »
MTV has posted a 35 second sneak peek (below) of the music video for Iridescent which is the first single from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. The music video is going to be officially released on Thursday, June 2nd on MTV and MTV.com. For those not sure why to care, music videos tend to use footage from the movie it is for and this one is no exception...sort of. The segment below shows how they incorporated Shockwave and a Decepticon ship in a way that is very different from the norm so the final full product should be interesting to watch if only looking for movie footage. Thanks to MV for the link.
In addition, Paramore has released a 30 second clip (below) from their new single "Monster" from the soundtrack which will be released on June 7th. The Dark of the Moon soundtrack and score is scheduled for June 14th release.
Update: Added another video. This is a brief behind the scenes video that Linkin Park posted on their YouTube channel.Read More »
TFW2005 is reporting that at some point MTV has mentioned that the premiere of the music video Linkin Park's Iridescent will be out this Thursday. The track is the first single from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. The video itself is expected to have at least some footage from the movie but much of that will be new footage is unknown. Meanwhile, LP's Mike Shinoda tweeted the left pic with note indicating the music video is finished, "Watching final edit of video for new @linkinpark single "Iridescent"-wow! Way to go @joehahnLP." Along with the announcement of Linkin Park's world premiere concert is official confirmation of some of the bands joining the group on the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Album. Not really sure why but the track list is one of the more (oddly) kept secrets around the movie. I can see why the Score doesn't reveal its list as the titles tend to reveal spoilers but a soundtrack rarely has that problem.
In a post on their official website, the Goo Goo Dolls announced, "There is a new Goo Goo Dolls song, "All That You Are" featured on the Transformers 3 soundtrack." The Goo Goo Dolls previously provided a track for the first Transformers movie with "Before It's Too Late."
Mastodon's Facebook page added to the track news by posting, "Mastodon will be on the upcoming Transformers: Dark Of The Moon soundtrack, coming June 14th. They will have their cover of ZZ Top's classic "Just Got Paid" featured, alongside cuts from Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides and more."
Art of Dying also joined the chorus on their FB page with post "Art Of Dying's "Get Thru This" from their new album Vices and Virtues will be featured on the new Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Soundtrack, coming 6/14. ...The album also features songs from Linkin Park, Staind, My Chemical Romance, Skillet, Theory of a Deadman and more!" With these three pieces of news we know have an idea of about 9 bands that are on the soundtrack. (links via TFW2005, thanks to Sahara for info)
To summarize the available track info for DOTM: The Album
Linkin Park - Iridiscent (movie remix)
Goo Goo Dolls - All That You Are
Mastodon - Just Got Paid
My Chemical Romance - ?
Black Veil Brides - ?
Art of Dying - Get Thru This
Staind - ?
