With Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon opening in less than 3 months (July 1st), we thought it would be a good time for some filler wrapping up the missteps and good things in Revenge of the Fallen (Transformers 2).  For the third installment, one can only hope they find a balance between the visually stunning first Transformers, vs. the overwhelming tintinnabulation of the second - the graphics didn't make up for the bloated mysticism of the story, which, admittedly, was alright by the kids as far as I could tell. It was almost like they wanted there to be dazzling graphics to take your mind off the fact that you had only a vague idea what was going on. Like, why did Optimus Prime even have to go ninja on so many - what was that, 19 Decepticons in that forest - enemies?  Did it really take Ironhide, Ratchet and Bumblebee to escort Sam or whatever they were doing? This is just the beginning; there were other, less important but no less head-scratching moments that abused the suspension-of-disbelief upon which movies rely....Was Sam's mom high the whole movie?  Why was she so hyper even before she ate the weed cookies? Where was the editor when Skids and Mudflap Transformers were brought up for review (more on this in a separate post) Out to lunch, apparently. What else can we expect from Michael Bay's clueless cauldron of humor, a turban-wearing Decepticon that infiltrates NORAD and blows itself up? 

Some of the legitimately funny moments in the movie (although some still managed to be a bit over-the-top): Bernie Mac's short scene; Anthony Anderson dancing with friend - ok so that was a bit much but the theater was booming with laughter; the scene at the beginning when Sam's friend was tree-climbing, oblivious to the need to appear cool; the part where Sam's parents discover Mikaela in his room and his mother's reaction.  There were probably more, but these were the parts to which the theater responded the loudest.

Of course, it’s probably rather unfair to expect any subsequent sequels to match the utter excitement of the first, as it has the advantage of novelty.  As a close friend once remarked, “when Optimus Prime first rolled onto the scene I couldn’t help but think – ‘Ah; Hello, old friend’. It was riveting. (When Bumblebee flew into full Autobot form close-up, it was amazing; when Optimus Prime appeared, it was mesmerizing.  The special-effects truly took what had been done before in movies to a whole new level, and they did it with the perfect movie as a vehicle – after all, can you think of a guaranteed popularity-contest winner with the machinery to render CGI better than Transformers?) Three may be hard-pressed to top the strange and explosive introduction of that Decepticon (Blackout?) at the beginning of the first Transformers movie, when it unfolded from a standard-issue U.S. warbird into something that at first looked like the Japanese had gotten really good at electronics.  Revenge of the Fallen overdid it with scintillating graphics and a head-scratching plot right out of a bungled version of Final Fantasy. I think it's safe to say that with the doubling of the resolution, the writers forgot the story somewhere along the way.  By all early accounts, the third movie may very well have found a way to keep both elements at a high level – a fitting end to the franchise.  Autobots assemble!

We should see more of Starscream fighting.  He may very well be my favorite Decepticon, insofar as abilties (don't read too much into that!).  Mimicking an air-superiority fighter and changing back to a robot in mid-flight is about as bad-ass as it can get.  How does a car compete?!

I waited a few weeks to write this post about Transformers The Revenge of The Fallen, not because I wanted to take me by the first impression and the heat of the moment of release.
After viewing the film carefully can give my personal opinion and is a real disappointment.
After the premiere of the first 2 years we expect many to judge the work of Michael Bay and is frankly disappointing, especially for the Fan Boys in the series suffered in the flesh of each delivery as a football fan when you get a Own your favorite team.

The Transformers were felt unconditional disagreed with the film starting from the beginning and the sequel did not expect. Many negative reviews not only from critics but fans of the show.
I suppose that if you're reading this article you are a supporter of and saw the Transformers movie, you can be an average person who went to film the movie and found by chance, a person who took their children to see the film, or a FanBoy Transformers I had hoped to see a decent film Transformers. If you're in the latter case, you will be interested as follows (there may be spoilers).

Transformers Series
Transformers began as an animated series that was designed to sell toys from Takara. But it was so successful that the number exceeded the expectations of the company's toy and started to become a cult series. After several seasons of TV and some animated films, a consolidated Transformers "universe" itself. The universe than the millions of fans wanted to see reflected on the big screen.

Transformers the Movie
Following the trend of the past comics to movies, had to reach the technological advances needed for Transformers could be carried out in a film. But this too came the great vices of Hollywood production companies to which they were interested mainly the benefits they could provide the franchise.

Everyone knows and is not news that Transformers The Movie and the film was a box office success and this also led to the sequel. A second part that has the same lines of the first, operated by director Michael Bay with a talent for explosions, easy dialogues, humor procaz and cheap psychology. Who made his own in the first part and unfortunately for everyone in the second also, as a mercenary in Hollywood, he was a Michael Bay directed a film for all audiences (PG), to make people laugh with a simple script (comic site) with the ultimate in special effects and explosions, which is not dense (although by the time it is), and leave the way open for the further production money with third party.

The film has already been much written is enough to see some revisions to notice their shortcomings and bugs.
The idea: it is interesting to analyze the film as a product, like a Blockbuster, a package that we sell for use as the junk food and that goes against the spirit of Transformers.
I think consumerism is so ingrained in the country's north and realize that, but the product Transformers (series produced in cooperation US-Japanese-Canadian) is universal and what is being done with the films is a lack of respect to the series.

A global mode may be necessary to a creative process and "evolution time" to reach a Transformers movie with the ingredients necessary to make it a real tribute to the original series, to find a true leader, a production company that has no meanness to make money as a place with the film and a good script.

Transformers do not need all this paraphernalia often unnecessary special effects, fights and battles ridiculous melee, characters out of context and without soul, eccentric art technology, advocating violence, extremism and extermination.

Transformers it was born as a series of toys, but it was much further by creating a symbolic universe with characters of human grandeur, heroes like Optimus PRIME which has the power to destroy a planet but chooses otherwise. Beings with superior technology that can travel through time and space but live as simply as possible to learn the primitive human.

These simple ideas of the series had no place in a film to impress and pretend it is not.

What you missed Transformers Revenge of the Fallen?

To begin with, as mentioned before a "good director", making a comparison with another successful comic brought to the big screen: Batman had the good fortune to be directed by Tim Burton in his first delivery, and many thought at the time that Batman was too dark and pretentious, but it took three sequels to demonstrate that the initial two films that Burton was more successful. And Joel Schumacher had to be responsible for trashing the latest Batman for Christopher Nolan to appear and make a clean slate with the brilliant Batman Begins and Batman Dark Night.

A good script, the backbone of any film is the script, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci fell short and never seem to not be present in the third. It seems that Michael Bay can only work with scripts cumbersome and meaningless, until you can come to believe that a good script will end its magic of special effects. Making the odious comparison again with the last Batman movie Dark Night, the script is everything (screenplay by the brothers Nolan, a part of the excellent interpretation of Heath Ledger), one day we will get to be proud of a Transformers movie that has nominees for the awards film world and fans of Batman are.

In the first film introduced us almost via rectal, papanatas the idea of the "spark of life", and the last legend of "Prime", the brain child ideas can come out of context so much material there that operate in the original series?.

And finally for not boring, being faithful to the Transformers universe, which is so rich and varied, with many ideas and innovations that should not cost you a good writer to assemble a decent story. The errors were taken to Bay Transformers Universe characters to treat as some inanimate puppets, Arcee and Devastator were mere "bluff" that made no dialogue, nor had more reason for saying that we were part of a film by Michael Bay.

It will be a little difficult to expect something better in the next installment of Transformers, maybe in a cycle like the Batman movie in the eighth find something good, but we must not falter and we will go ... Transform and rollout! ...

Despite everything TF2 will continue filming, LeBeouf is recovering from hand surgery and will return to the set within a month, his publicist said.

A DreamWorks insider said there was no work stoppage on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" - a follow-up to last year's global box office hit - but added that rescheduling has proven to be a logistical headache.
Scenes featuring co-star Josh Duhamel had to be moved to this week to work around LaBeouf's absence. Another person familiar with the situation said, "Everyone had to adjust their schedule."

Despite DreamWorks' insistence that shooting was not halted, another source close to the project said at least two days of filming were lost on the big-budget tentpole.
